I finally figured out one reason why I enjoy writing Christmas songs, which is that lyrically, the fact that it’s about Christmas drastically narrows down the lyrical possibilities to the point where I can actually deal with writing lyrics- otherwise, there’s just too many damn things a song could be about. But hey, we’ve got important Cavalcade business coming up- handy to have a deadline, too!
