Lester EP– *”Renegade Son”, **”Blue Diamond”, “Pop Your Best Life”, and “Call Me”- recorded by Chris Blood at *Trout Towers,**the Orleans Inn, and the Chatham Sands in 1994 and ’95.Lester was the first band I was in with Steve “Woo Woo” Wood in the early to mid-nineties, which also included Jay Cournoyer on drums and vocals and Cliff Letsche on bass. We were around for about three years or so, I think, broke up the instant someone said they wanted to be our manager; isn’t that always the way, though?
I liked us then, and I like us now!
And by the way, if you dig the Lester sounds, and the Steve “Woo Woo” Wood thing in general, you might also like to hear the original Lester album from which “Renegade Son” (included on the EP) is an outtake, #22 in the RadioBall series, called (cunningly enough), “Lester”! (Also features young Slamuel Wood current Catbirds drummer, quite prominently on the cover!)
Still great after all these years! Maybe better like an aged wine.
