THE FOUR DAYS AFTER BASTILLE DAY A-GO-GO

July 18, 2009 @ 10:00 pm

A night of New Orleans rhythm & blues. Featuring the Vudu Krewe All-Star Mardi Gras Band with special guest singers Jen D’Angora, JJ Rassler, John Powhida, Jordan Valentine, Asa Brebner, Mick Mondo, Al Janik, and Chandler Travis.
The Annual Mardi Gras Ball had a baby: and they called it the Bastille Day A-Go-Go.

What does New Orleans R&B have to do with Bastille Day? Well, ok, not really much, but with a good amount of irreverence, humor, and a very faithful, amped-up crowd, the Annual Bastille Day A-Go-Go is one of the summer’s most anticipated regular events.

The show, a revue, features Shaun Wolf Wortis fronting a large ‘all-star’ band playing New Orleans Rhythm and Blues (and some jazz), with special guest vocalists & performers from all over the spectrum of the Boston music scene. Everyone dresses up/dresses down, does whatever they like. This is really one of the most fun events in town of the year.

All proceeds from the show go to the New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic which provides medical care to musicians. (This is musicians helping musicians.)
